1. How long have you been signing for?

I've been singing since I was 6.  I used to sing and dance with my cousins growing up, you know...songs that were on the radio!? Ones that we where too damn young to be singing...ahem...Tupac's "How Do You Want It?" & Ginuwine's "Pony" hahaha

 

2. When was the first time you knew you could really sing?

When I was eight! I just would sing with my heart out, and people would just look at me and be like "Sing THIS song" and I would get their attention.  And when we would sing a song like a Boyz II Men joint, I would always get the hardest notes, and I'd hit them, too....it just felt so good.

 

3. Who are some singers that you look up to?

Defiantly artist like: Luther Vandross, Mary J. Blige, Beyonce, Michael Jackson, Janet Jackson, Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Marvin Gaye, Lady Gaga, The Isley Brothers, Usher, James Brown (have you seen that dude PERFORM! I WANNA COMMAND PEOPLE TO LOOK AT ME JUST LIKE HE DOES!), Al Green, Maxwell, Justin Timberlake, Prince, Tupac, Brandy, Jay-Z, Nas, Black Eyed Peas...there's WAY TOO MUCH. I'd have to show you my iPod. 

 

4. What artist now a days in your genre of music do you think are doing well?

Well, Beyonce...that chick is a monster!  Britney.  Justin Timberlake. I would say Chris Brown...but....ya know.... Jay-Z, Katy Perry, Rihanna, Brandy, Lady Gaga, Black Eyed Peas, Keyshia Cole, Mary J. Blige.

 

5. What would tell someone who is pursuing a dream?

Don't ever let nobody tell you you ain't strong enough!  If you feel something, than you feel it for a reason, so don't quit, because after you quit what will you wake up for in the morning?  What will you try for? What will make you believe?  Don't quit. NEVER, EVER QUIT!

 

6. What motivates you to  continue working hard as you do?

Just the fact that I KNOW I couldn't go a day without singing.  I couldn't go a day without sharing God's blessing with the world.  & I know in my heart that God's blessed me with a gift, and it's important for me to show the world that when God gives you a gift, praise him for it and never waste it. Oh, and the haters and naysayers...they make success taste so damn good. haha
